Fraud Information

Please remember that Gateway Credit Union will never solicit personal or financial information. We occasionally ask to verify information so that we may complete in-person or phone transactions initiated by you. And we won’t ask you for crucial data that is already maintained on our secure mainframe computers using the claim that “we have lost your record” or “your accounts have been compromised.”
When in doubt, please contact us if you’re concerned about the security of your account information. We’re here to help.
Here are simple precautions that will keep your identity safe.
- Closely monitor your accounts to make sure there are no unauthorized transactions
- Check your credit report on a regular basis to ensure the information is correct
- Never give out personal information in response to an unsolicited phone call, fax, e-mail or text
- Maintain and run updated virus, firewall, browser, and security software on your computer
Fraud Alert Notifications
Gateway CU has partnered with JHA Payment Processing Solutions, our card processing company, to provide automated fraud detection and alerts for debit and credit cards by phone.
If you suspect fraud on your account during normal business hours, please call 541-741-2605 or 800-452-6021. If you need assistance after hours, please call 800-417-4592.
If you receive a suspicious email, text message, or phone call from someone using Gateway Credit Union’s name, please let us know.
Travelling Whether you are traveling overseas or across the country, please let us know your plans. By informing us of your traveling dates and your destination, we can work to minimize the changes of your cards being blocked or flagged for unusual activity.
Lost your card? If your ATM/Debit card or Visa Credit card is missing and presumed lost or stolen, call immediately to avoid unauthorized use.
